Auto Club Employees Support YCC Students
On April 27th, employees from the Automobile Club of Southern California joined other volunteers at Hare High School in Garden Grove as part of Orange County United Way’s Youth Career Connections (YCC) mock interview event. Hosted by NAAAP OC (Orange County National Association of Asian American Professionals), more than 80 students attended the event, which featured practice interviews and mentoring for high school students preparing for summer internships. Attendees also participated in ice-breaker activities, and heard from volunteers about how to get the most out of their internships. Volunteers from several companies were on hand to guide students through interview scenarios, offering insight and assessment.
“On behalf of Orange County United Way and Garden Grove Unified School District, thank you for taking the time from your busy schedules to volunteer and spend time with students to help them prepare for their summer internship interview,” said Amanda Hastings, Events Manager, Orange County United Way. “Thank you for sharing your insight, feedback and overall tips and tricks for a successful interview.
